How Mitigation Works

Just knowing that Radon has been reduced in your home will help you and your family, breathe easy.

What is "Radon Mitigation?"

Virtually all radon issues are corrected through a "radon mitigation system."   Simply put, mitigation involves installing a custom fan and pipe system that draws the radon-laden air from beneath the foundation, venting it outside of the building far enough away from windows or other openings to ensure that it will not re-enter your home.  See pictures of radon systems. Our professionals will:

  • Review testing guidelines and measurement results to determine if additional measurements are needed;
  • Evaluate the radon problem and provide you with a detailed, written proposal on how your radon levels will be lowered;
  • Design a radon-reduction system for your needs;
  • Install the system according to EPA standards or state and local codes;
  • Ensure the system is effective by retesting the home after the installation is complete.

A radon mitigation service begins with a free in-home estimate. This assures you of the best possible price and no surprises later. Schedule an appointment.
