| Radon Testing |
Testing is the only way to find out how much radon is in your home. The Ohio Department of Health estimates that one of every two (1/2) Ohio homes has radon levels above the EPA’s recommended action level.
At Home Radon will conduct 48-hour continuous monitor test in your home. A Certified professional will come toyour home and place the test in the lowest livable area of your home, typically your basement. At the conclusion of the test, you will receive a report andrecommendations on next steps. All tests are performed by professions that are licensed by the State of Ohio.

|
Once the test is complete, At Home Radon will give recommendations based on EPA guidelines. The action level for mitigating radon is 4.0 pCi/L or higher.

Mitigation occurs through a technique called “Active Soil Depressurization.” This occurs by pulling the radon ladened air from under the foundation of your home and venting it outside. Typically, mitigation systems are installed directly into a sump-pump and a new sump-pump lid is installed and sealed. If your |
|
home does not have a sump pump, we will core drill a hole in the concrete slab and seal any openings. A continuously running fan is installed on the exterior of a house and vented outside to alleviate harmful radon levels in your home. |
